Net Advisor 11.2 - Syslog login/logout messages

Hi All,

I'm using Net Advisor 11.2 and have a few questions.

Since setting up Net Advisor my switch logs are flooded with SSH login/logout messages every 15 minutes from the local user account I've configured under: Discover > IP Products > Global Settings > Default Password.

This is the only area I recall setting up this login information.  My question is, what is the purpose of this constant login?  And is there anyway to change the interval, or suppress the messages?

Thanks,

Re: Net Advisor 11.2 - Syslog login/logout messages

jmarshall ,

The message indicate communication between the IP products and the Management application server .

You can select the product communication from the following options :

SSH only

Telnet only

SSH then telnet

To change the polling interval Select Server > Options.

Select IP Preferences from the Software Configurations list in the Category pane

Enter the polling interval in seconds in the PollingIntervalInSeconds field.

Forgot to add if you prefer to filter out these messages and not change any of the polling interval please review the Filtering events in the Master log section in the IP User Manual Guide using the link below :

Thank you Annie.
