Mysterious L2 Cloud icons

We are fairly new to BNA.  We have a couple of mysterious L2 Cloud icons that have showed up.  I can't seem to find any info as to what in the switch configs cause these to appear.  Any insights would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Re: Mysterious L2 Cloud icons

Can you take a screenshot and share so we know which icons you are referencing?

Re: Mysterious L2 Cloud icons

Layer 2 Clouds — This node displays as a blue cloud. When two or more devices with FDP or

LLDP enabled connect to a device or network without FDP or LLDP capability, the L2 cloud icon

is displayed to represent the connection between the device types. This icon means that

IronWare OS or Network OS devices are not directly connected to each other and each

IronWare OS or Network OS device does not have Layer 2 information from other devices.

Does the above answer your question ?

Thanks,

-Annie.

Re: Mysterious L2 Cloud icons

Thanks for the reply Annie.  All the devices connected or running through that L2 Cloud have lldp enabled.  It is a 100% Brocade network that was temporarily connected to a legacy Nortel network.  Could this have caused the L2 Cloud?  Now that the Nortel equipment is disconnected is there a way to remove it?
