Can't update backup options in BNA 12.3.4

Hi!

Recently updated BNA from 12.0.2, to 12.1.6 to 12.3.4, everything looks good, but I can't update backup options!

When I change backup options and click Apply, I get a Error message: Error updating backup options.

I could change these options in both 12.0.2 and 12.1.6.

If I change settings and use "Backup Now", the backup works, but I cant Apply and save changes.

Tried starting the application as administrator and as local user, loggedin in as Administrator (or userer with exactly the same BNA roles).

Any ideas?

I am planning to move on to 12.4.1, should I proceed and hope it is solved in next version?

Re: Can't update backup options in BNA 12.3.4

Is that the Server data backup options you're trying to change? There might be something useful in log/server/server.log.

I'm not aware of any specific defects around this fixed in 12.4.0/12.4.1/12.4.2. But if you're about to upgrade, then I'd probably do that first, then see if it's still broken. If it is, it will probably need a support case.

FYI: 12.4.2 is the current latest version.

Hi!

It's the BNA/Server/Options/Server Backup from the GUI that I mean.

From the server log:

I will continue on the upgrade on monday (since the manula backup seems to work).

Yeah, I know of the 12.4.2 version but that one was not avaiable from HP ( it is an OEM version), will check again on monday first.

I will report back on monday, and if neccessary open a case (through HP).

Thank you Lindsay.

Re: Can't update backup options in BNA 12.3.4

It looks like that is a known problem. If you go through support, they should be able to help resolve it.

From what I can see, it's something related to upgrades that can trigger this. I don't know if the problem will be resolved automatically when you upgrade to 12.4, or if the problem will get carried forward. But anyway, it looks like it's a known issue, and shouldn't be too hard to resolve.

Re: Can't update backup options in BNA 12.3.4

Hi!

I completet the upgrade cycle to 12.4.2 (got hold of it through HP this time), and the problem dissapeared.

All good now, thank you Lindsay!
