Brocade mibs with net-snmp

Hello,

I want to monitor some brocade equipments (DCX4S in particular) by net-snmp on Linux.

I have copied all mib files to /usr/share/snmp/mibs.

However when I retrieve a SNMP value, it is not decoded.

For example :

snmpwalk -v2c -c public x.x.x.x .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.1.7

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1588.2.1.1.1.7.0 = INTEGER: 1

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Re: Brocade mibs with net-snmp

Is that DCX has VF enabled you must use SNMP v3, otherwise v1 is fine.

With regards to the OID , .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.1.7.0 translates to swOperStatus (sw.mib for FOS6.4)

Possible integer values are 1 to 4 meaning online offline testing or faulty.

So it actually decodes just fine if the switch is indeed online.
