Brocade Network Advisor 12.4.2 authentication failure on FC5022 (Pureflex) during discovery

Using IBM version 12.4.2.

During fabric discovery all FC5022 (PureFlex) switches fail to authenticate with the following error message:
"SNMP communication failed. SNMP credential may be invalid. Not regestered for SNMP traps"

The 5022 switches are being discovered through ISL. Have tried resetting the snmpconfig on the switches: snmpconfig --defaults snmpv3.
Ports 23 and 80 are denied according to security policies, https is enabled with valid certificates and switches are reachable through browser. https is configured in BNA options.

If anyone has ideas on how to get the 5022 added to BNA please share.

Hi,

other users ask in the past about the same problem.

For some reason, FC5022 is continued not listed in any BNA Release Notes Supported hardware list.

I would suggest to get in touch with IBM Support to clarified if Supported or not.

Before the FC5022 switch can be discovered and inventoried it must be zoned, and then configured with the SMIA Configuration Tool.

Url has details on how to properly setup FC5022 with SMIA COnfiguration tool..

Hi.  I had the same issues and whilie googling ended up on your post.  Went through the links provided in the other responses but nothing worked.  Finally found something that worked for us...

It has to do with the ipfilter options on the fc5022.  Using the default rule for ipv4 and ipv6, they deny traffic on port 80.  I simply cloned the rules, modified the port 80 rule from deny to permit and enabled the new rules...10secs later my fc5022 were discovered within BNA.  Then i went and modified the snmp config from manual to automatic and within a few seconds all was discovered and running properly...
