can anybody tell me iam new to san course

snapshot is point in time image of the lun, like if you created snapshot for particular volume around 10oclock. so after 10oclock you deleted some data, that data is copied to snapshot space.

In IBM'ish it's often called FlashCopy, if that was the reason of your question.
