I've been trying to upgrade the firmware in a 2640 to version 5.3.0. Originally I was told that I needed to upgrade to bootrom version 1.0.5 first but when I try to do that it tells me that version of the bootrom does not match the current firmware. So I updated the firmware first. It only updates the firmware in the inactive bank. Then I activate the updated bank and reset the switch. When I log in to the upgraded firmware it tells me I need to update the bootrom. When I try to update the bootrom it tells me I'm trying to load invalid code. Either I was given the wrong file or it has been corrupt or something like that. Does anyone know where I can download the 1.0.5 bootrom code to make sure I've got the right file?

In Order of FW Upgrade by the 2640 ( same procedure the 1620 ) must first be upgrade the Bootrom and then the Firmware.
The correct Bootroom is the File named "ECP2K105bootrom.bin"
1.03 must be loaded before your can upgrade to 1.05

Sorry about the wrong forum. I wasn't sure which one to post it to. That is the filename I have and I am currently on 1.0.3 but it will not let me do the firmware first. It comes up with "Error: Attempting to download the wrong image to flash." I have tried on another switch that is still running the 4.7.0.SB firmware.

Ok, problem is solved.
the file is corrupted or wrong.
That is today an exception, please not after sk for other Firmware inquires, the answer will therefore NO!
Attached the Bootprom Packed as .rar file, please unzip the File and try the upgrade again.
