All of my loop storage devices show 0 buffer credits when I do a portloginshow. Is this normal and how do I find out the actual number of credits that has been negotiated?
Type PID World Wide Name credit df_sz cos
fe 0100ef 21:20:00:d0:b2:02:bc:c0 0 2048 8 scr=1
ff 0100ef 21:20:00:d0:b2:02:bc:c0 0 0 8 d_id=FFFC01

I have looked at the Admin Guide and it only refrences portloginshow in one section and loop devices are not discussed. Is there a particular page that would help?

BB credits for a loop are always displayed as zero. The initiator does not maintain a table of BB credits, it simply relies on primitives R_RDY's to calculate the available credits thus reducing the overhead in the loop.
I never worry about the BB credits zero even on the F ports. U shd be only worried for BB_Credits=0 on E ports most of the times, unless and untill u see some strange timeouts on the host.
