lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

I recently added devices and created the lsan_zones to my existing FCIP Router fabrics.  The newly added devices do not show up in fcrproxydevshow, and when I look in lsanzoneshow I show these as configured, not exist or imported.

device as not imported usually show whe the LSAN cannot access to the Storage/LUN you want to add/see into the LSAN.

Q.: have all this new configured LSAN menber access to the Storage ?

Re: lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

The devices show up, in the fabrics, fcid 4d0200 thru 4d0500.   It appears that the FCR configurations don't update.

Re: lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

[ Edited ]

have you set the port as persistent disable bevore configure it ? if not try to disable the port as persistent and then enable it again.

--->>>The Fabric has 5 switches

after executed the command portcfgpersistentdisable / portcfgpersistentenable can you please post output command from

"fcredgeshow"

please keep in mind persistend disable command is disruptive.

however, as per my experience, and I'm experineced with LSAN and FCR, the problem is cause why the port is hang.

procedure above as descripted should solve the problem.

Re: lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

Not sure what port you wanted persistently disabled.  So we persistently disabled the device ports on both ends (the devices I would expect to see in the fcrproxydevshow command), and that did not help, so then we disabled the ISL ports on the local site between the switches, and reenabled, with no change.  So then we disabled the ports on the router that the local switches attach to, with no help.

Re: lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

hi!

once we had a strange problem with lsan zones, not exactly like you say, but something similar.

what helped to solve the issue is removal of the lsan zones from the config in the edge fabrics and addition of these zones back... later on we've got an explanation from brocade about a specific bug in fcr code that was fixed starting from 7.0.0.

so i wonder what is your current fos level? and anyway you might try doing the same removal/addition - who knows, maybe it will help you too?

good luck,

alexey

Re: lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

The code level of add SAN devices at one site are 7.1.1b.  The routers at the remote site are at 7.0.1b and the DCXs are at 6.4.2a.

Re: lsanzoneshow -s shows devices as configured

so it might well be that the DCX-es with 6.4.2a are giving you this problem. did you make it work somehow?
