is it recommended to balance the Storage and host ports across ASICS in Brocade 6520

Hi Team

is it recommended to balance the Storage and host ports across ASICS in Brocade 6520 or it does not matter?

What do you see in your or your customer's environment related to connectivity on Brocade 6520?

The only difference is a somewhat reduced latency if you hook up the initiators to the same ASIC's as the targets. This is however negligible.

With this kind of switches, your packet has only two options. It will either traverse one ASIC or three ASICs. One ASIC gives sub-microsecond latency. Three ASICs give a little bit more than microsecond. No oversubscription.
