how can tell fibre channel port on a brocade switch has every been used

I am looking at the ports on a brocade SAN fabric and need to know the empty ports. Not certain if there are old connections. The errdump logs unfortunately doesn't help like the cisco show logging that can indicate a port went offline at some point in time.

Hello,

Switchshow will provide you the ports where no WWN are attached.

fabriclog --show can provide you some details about latest connections but limited in backlog.

sfpshow can give you an indication if something is connected. If RX is very high normally nothing is connected on the concerned port.

As a best practice, the best is to place the portcfgpersistentdisable when a port is not use or decommissioned. Like this you always know that those ports are unused.
