Re: firmware version

thank you sir.

is it recommended to upgrade the firmware for a smoothly running system?.currently we our version is 06.01.00 18 and if we go for an upgrade, do we need a down time?more over if there is any problem after the upgrade ,is it possible to downgrade to the old version which is 06.01.00 18?

Re: firmware version

derick,

NO! it is not recommende to Upgrade from a Low rel. to higher. You must upgrade Step-by-Step-

From v6.x -> v7. -> v8.x -> v9.0 and then to any 9.x / 9.6 Netx Step -> 9.7 or 9.8

Here from The Rel. Notes v9.7

  • All products must be running E/OS 9.x or higher before upgrading to M-EOS v9.7. If a product is operating

with a firmware level below 9.0, you must upgrade to version 9.x or later version before installing M-EOS v9.7.

If you need other Rel. Notes, visit www.techhelp24.com and select Brocade M-Series, here are all Rel. Notes for Download Available.
