errors managing zones and configs

Hi all,

I am having problems in a heteregenous SAN composed by ED140M at 9.09,08 EOS and DCX at 6.2.2b interop mode 2.

The point is that we are triying to issue a cfgsave in the DCX getting error message:

XXXX : admin> cfgsave
You are about to save the Defined zoning configuration. This
action will only save the changes on Defined configuration.
Any changes made on the Effective configuration will not
take effect until it is re-enabled.
Do you want to save Defined zoning configuration only?  (yes, y, no, n): y
The Fabric is busy, try again later

and if we do a cfgsaveactivetodefined the error is next following:

CGSRojo_A3_DCX:admin> cfgsaveactivetodefined
You are about to save the Defined zoning configuration. This
action will save the effective configuration to the defined configuration.
Do you want the Effective zoning to become the Defined zoning?  (yes, y, no, n):
y

Warning: Current Zoning Transaction was aborted. Reason code = Zone Merge Receiv
ed

Principal switch is a DCX.

We can not do the zoning with CMDCFM 10.4.3 neither...

Re: errors managing zones and configs

Show to me as the DID Offset is not correct set in DCX

DID Offset by default in IM2 is 96

Re: errors managing zones and configs

Hi,

first of all, thanks for your support.

Interopmode is set to McData Fabric and offset is set to 96 (extrated from configshow):

.....

switch.domain_id_offset:96

switch.interopMode:0

switch.largeEntry.cap:0

switch.mcdtDefaultZone:0

switch.mcdtFabricMode:1

fabric.domain:25

...

the config Interopmode extracted from configshow is equal to 0 but if you run interopmode:

admin> interopmode
InteropMode: McDATA Fabric
    Default Zone: Off
    Safe Zone: Off

you get this.
