is there any way to find out what was the real serial number that was set, before changing that number with a TAG service number that DELL use

can i use some cli command to find out, log command?

what about "supportshow" command.

or it is imposible to find out.

where and when that serial  number was established.?

Re: ds-200 switch need BROCADE serial number but there is DELL tag number

The SAN switches have two different chassis serial numbers.

One is from Brocade and the other serial number is for some Brocade OEM partners like IBM.

You can get them via SNMP.

The unique element is the WWN of the chassis. This is the most common value.

What is the reason that you are asking for this serial number?

If you would like to have the OID strings let me know.

Currently I have no access to this information but I can deliver it.

I hope this helps,

Andreas
