can't link 2 FC switches in the same fabric

Hello

I have an old FC switch Silkworm3850 with FOS 5.0.4 with zone active in production enviroment.

I have purchesed a new FC switch DS-200B with FOS 6.1.1 and i want to join in one fabric with the old one, but a segmented (zone conflict) error occurs.

I think that I must upgrade FOS on the old FC switch but there are other things to check before this upgrade in order to resolv the problem?

Switches have different DomainIDs.

At what level I must upgrade the old FC switch in order to eliminate the problem?

thank You.

FabricOS v6.1.1 is compatible whit 5.1.0.

whit other word you must upgrade the 3850 to 5.1.x

I forgot,

...and both switch must have a Fabric License in order to Build a Fabric.

Zoning conflict indicates that in new switch is active zoning confguration.

Zoning of switch you are adding should be cleared. This can be done by following this process:

  1. Disable the active configuration using cfgdisable, for example, cfgdisable “saved_zoning_config”.
  2. Issue the cfgclear command to clear all zoning configuration.
  3. Issue the cfgsave command to save the changes.
  4. Issue the switchenable command to enable the switch.
