What might I be missing?

I'm new to SANs. At my company I inherited a year-old IBM SAN with two Brocade 16-port 2109 switches that no one had been maintaining nor knew much about. There are two fabrics, a FAStT controller, four EXP disk shelves, and three BladeCenter chassis hosting about 20 servers connected to SAN storage.

I would tend to leave it alone. If it aint broke...Before you go and upgrade your Fabric OS, I would check with your blade server vendor and find out what's supported and if you still pay maintenance they may even upgrade the OS for you.
