What is the meaning of LR_in, LR_out?

Hello.

What does it mean that LR_IN and LR_out?

On the command ref guide fabric log section,  it written like this :

Fabric log message. An asterisk (*) in the message indicates an action. The link
reset information is indicated by LR_IN and LR_OUT. LR_IN indicates a link reset
on the remote switch, whereas LR_OUT indicates a link reset on the local switch

My san has problem below this :

So I want to know that,  LR_IN means Link Reset occurs cause by device or switch?

And what does it mean that skip?

Please reply for me.

Thank you.

Re: What is the meaning of LR_in, LR_out?

so we have a switch port X and something else is connected to this port - a server HBA, storage port or another switch port.

then, when port X logs LR_IN it means that port X says: "the other end of my connection initiated LR". when port X logs LR_OUT it means that port X itself decided to perform LR.

that's it.
