Virtual Fabric or Active Domain

I am reading the FOS documentation which says FOS 5.2 onwards supports creation of virtual fabrics via active domains. But recently came across a statement that Virtual Fabrics are only supported on DCX and Active Domains are just a group of switch admin roles.

Hope someone can provide more details on it to clear it out.

Some confusing documents:

Re: Virtual Fabric or Active Domain

Hi,

AD= Admin Domain and Virtual Fabric. are two different things.

AD is supported on all switch since FOS 5.2.x. and can be configured as Port.

Genuine Virtual Fabric is only Supported into DCX by Blade.
