Technical SupportSave fails in BNA 11.1.3.

When trying to do a technical supportsave from BNA 11.1.3, I get an error that says, " Technical SupportSave Failed. Try configuring the preferred address in Switch-Server Communication in the options dialog to IPv6 and try again."  We are not using IPv6 in our environment yet and have it disabled. Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,

We have the same problem with BNA 11.1.4 but only for some remote workstations. Did you find out what is the cause of problem?

I suggest checking the IP interface of the BNA server and make sure it is set up correctly .

Firewall on the BNA server is worth checking also to make sure it is not preventing the switch from connecting to the BNA FTP server .

DNS is configured and BNA server accessible by ip or hostname, no firewalls between client and server.

Here what I get in client.log:

So what folder permission it is trying to check?

Re: Technical SupportSave fails in BNA 11.1.3.

Can you check the IP / interface of the BNA server is set up correctly .

Client/Server IP in " Server > Options ( under software configurations ) can be a place to correct the interface chosen for the BNA server . OR on the server itself you can launch the " Network Advisor Configuration "  , i.e < install > \ bin \ configwizard.bat
