Silkworm 3900 and Quantum tape libraries

We have 3900 and Quantum P2000 tape as well as DX30 disk based tape library. The 3900 has Compaq MSA1000 and MA8000 SANs connected using Emulex 9000 series HBAs.

We had a similar problem with our Scalar 10K and the SNC 5100s attached to it. We ended up having to upgrade the SNC firmware to fix the problem of the disappearing drives. What version of Emulex driver are you using?

Re: Silkworm 3900 and Quantum tape libraries

I'm having the same problem between a Windows 2003 Server w/Emulex LP9802DC HBA (firmware=1.90A4, driver=5-2.22a8) connecting to IBM LTO-2 drives through ADIC Scalar i2000 FC I/O Blade. Drives do not disappear from Device Manager but are not accessible for a while. Sometimes they return and sometimes they don't...

Probably a stupid question, but do you guys have "Look for disappearing devices" checked on your driver?
