ISLs are connected via Transmode DWDM (with QPMS cards) over 27km or 44km links at 2Gbps.

I have checked the domain ID offset (x60) on both and no clash of domain IDs (4700=2 5100=20)

Questions:

1. Do I need to turn off credit recovery on the ISL ports?

2. Can I use Long distance mode on the Brocade 5100 ISL ports (with a extended fabric license) if the 4700 does not have long distance support?

3. Does ISL R_RDY mode need to be set to ON?  (Did try this on one of the ports but still got error)

Re: Segmented ISL - adding Brocade 5100 to McData 4700 fabric?

Thanks for your reply.

News to me that EFCM 9.7.4 works with FOS v6.3 - the release notes for v6.3.0c state, "neither EFCM nor FM are qualified or supported for
management of switches operating with FOS v6.3 firmware."  I guess that means if you have any issues with this configuration Brocade won't fix it.  The answer will be migrate to DCFM.

I have renamed the attachment and attached it again.
