? SAN configs

Is it possible to create single 0,5Tbit/s ICL connection between Brocade DCX Backbones switches?

Based on our information we think that Broca de DCX Backbone can create 4 ICL connections, each with 128Gbit/s bandwidth, but it not possible to create one single connection with 0,5Tbit/s bandwidth. Please tell me if I’m right.

Re: ? SAN configs

Hi Miroslaw,

if you are using DCX with ICL cables of maximum 2m length (electrical cables), then each cables carries 128Gbps..

Each ICL-Port (cable) has 16*8 Gbps (=128Gbps).

Because each ICL consists of two 8 port trunk groups, you will have two 64Gbps trunks.

So each cable will give you 2 ISL's of 64Gbps each.
