SAN Switch Configuration Best Practice Quick Question for Failover/Redudancy

Quick question on best configuration for failover/redudancy

Which is the better configuration (2 Brocade 300 switches and 2 B series Fiber Switches in my HP C7000 chassis)

Option 1:

Single Fabric

Each B Series Switch Patched to both Brocade 300 switches

B Series Switches patched to each other via c7000 chassis

Option 2:

Dual Fabric

B Series Switch 1 patched ONLY to Brocade 300 Switch 1 (Fabric 1)

B Series Switch 2 patched ONLY to Brocade 300 Switch 2 (Fabric 2)

Option 3: (Not even sure if this is possible)

Dual Fabric

B Series Switch 1 patched ONLY to Brocade 300 Switch 1 (Fabric 1)

B Series Switch 2 patched ONLY to Brocade 300 Switch 2 (Fabric 2)

B Series Switches patched to each other via c7000 chassis (Fabric ?)

Re: SAN Switch Configuration Best Practice Quick Question for Failover/Redudancy

Hi, what do you mean with via c7000 chassis? I was under the impression that if you wanted to connect two B-series switches in an HP c-class shelf you still need to connect them with a cable. Is there another way?
