Redirect the command output on switch

Hello All,

I have a question related to brocade command redirection.

Can we redirect the output of brocade command to remote host or local? so we can later read the output file to get the data.

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks,

Manish

Re: Redirect the command output on switch

How about using something like Expect on a host in the management LAN to collect the outputs with a script?

Re: Redirect the command output on switch

This is what I use for Windows;

plink.exe -ssh -pw password123 admin@10.77.77.77 "zoneshow" > "c:\temp\zones.txt"

You'll need plink.exe

Unix is easier

ssh  admin@10.77.77.77 ('zoneshow') > /tmp/zones

Re: Redirect the command output on switch

If you are using Unix system you can  redirect the output to a file as someone already mentioned.

ssh  admin@10.77.77.77 ('zoneshow') > /tmp/zones

In windows system, use putty.exe to ssh and use the 'logging' function to log all commands and output to a text file.

Putty can create a log file for a session; that is what I usually use.
