Putty / plink problem in FOS 5.3.0c

We use plink.exe, which is a commandline variant of Putty, in our Perl scripts.

Re: Putty / plink problem in FOS 5.3.0c

Hi TechHelp24,Any hint what to look for in the release notes? Can't find a word like putty or plink in the whole document. Are not planning for 6.0 yet, would be happy if 5.3 is running for now.

Re: Putty / plink problem in FOS 5.3.0c

Hi Roel,I mean here, see the switch table to see you Switches hare FOS 6.0.x compatible, and by the way, i see you have IBM Label Switches, the F32 ( Genuine 3900 ) and the M14 ( genuine 24000 ) not are FOS 6.x compatible. The M48 ( 48000) can be updated to fos v6 or higher.

Re: Putty / plink problem in FOS 5.3.0c

RoelI am seeing the exact same thing. I have 4100's and plink works fine on the switches running 5.2.1a but not on 5.3.0a. I get the same problem that it looks like the command is being issued before it gets to the correct shell. Issuing the help command works but list a completely diffeent set of commands to the normal shell. If you managed to fix this please post a solution.

Re: Putty / plink problem in FOS 5.3.0c

Hi Frank,Don't know in which release it will be fixed. Will they make a release 5.3.0d or 0e while FOS 6.0 is already avail? Just follow the release notes I presume. (or ask them, if more customers regard this as a problem, the sooner it is fixed!)

I see what you mean - this is a nice route to start playing with the kernel by the looks of it.Thanks again, you saved me a lot of time.
