Port Error Interpretation

I ran "porterrshow" and received output that indicated some errors. I am doing some reading and it looks like it could possibly be a bad SFP. I ran a clear and then the "porterrshow again". I would like help some help from all you experts in either confirming or denying. The output is below. Thanks!

The errors are under crc err, crc g_eof, bad eof, disc c3, and pcs err.

you are on the right way.

 

it is a common error in most case caused by defective SFP or in rare circumstance a cable.

 

I would suggest for first to replace the SFP , then issue the command "portstatsclear" and monitoring the port in question if the problem persist or not.

keep in mind to consider, such error can be caused as well by a defective HBA or Storage Array Port, with the consequence that such error will be mirrored on the Switch Port.

Another valid point. I checked the array and it is showing the hardware to be healthy so I think I will start by changing out the SFP, if that fails, the fibre, and finally going to the support team of the array if I see no difference.
