I know this message when more than One Port Group is configured in the AG Mode Switch, and the groups are not set correct.

can you please post "ag --pgshow" output from AG Switch, if port group are configured ?

Re: One of the switch port on 8510 connected to AG switch showing "(Area has been acquired)

Move it to a non-shared area port. You will have 10-bit addressing enabled in this physical or logical switch and the area portion of the FCID is shared. This is not supported in an AG environment since all port-ids need to be available for the AG switch to map these to the N-port.

When you look at the switchshow plug it into a port which FCID does not end with 40,0C or 80 and whos area ID is non-shared.
