McData-ED140 support matrix and Windows 2008.

My environment is equipped with Mc-Data ED-140 at firmware level of 09.07.02 at 2Gb/s speed.  I 'd like to know whether I will have any problem to support Windows 2008 and 2K8 SQL. If there are additional information to be provided then I will more than happy to do so.  THANKS.

Regards,

T4.

Re: McData-ED140 support matrix and Windows 2008.

Switch/Director are independent from OS.

You my have just to check the compatibility HBA Driver and Firmware with the OS, and Array Microcode.

Current EOS Rel. for McDATA 6140 ( ED-140 ) is 9.9.7

For some details refer the Brocade Compatibility Matrix

If you are satisfied with the responses please mark as 'Answered'.
If not, just let me know I can see to get more info.
I would appreciated if you rate the threads.

Thank you.

I am not seeing any information on ED-140.  The compatabilty matrix is dated in 2007.  Can you provide the link?

--->>> The compatabilty matrix is dated in 2007

Windows Server 2008 was in 2007 not avalable

ED-140 is the OEM Name by EMC

Native McDATA Product Name was ED-6140

ED = Enterprise Director

Since McDATA was aquired by Brocade the NEW Product name is M6140

For you facility Compatibility Matrix is attached, please looking for M6140.
