Loss of telnet and http and SNMP

I was using an SNMP graph utility to look at TxWords and RxWords. After about an hour of collection (every second)it stopped. I then noticed that telnet and http were also not working. Strange thing is that I can ping the switch. Go figure!

That sounds like pretty heavy SNMP traffic to me. Maybe it filled up some buffers. Why don't you poll less often? I get enough information if I poll every five minutes.

Re: Loss of telnet and http and SNMP

I recently lost telnet and web connectivity to one of my 3800s. i'm not using any snmp monitoring, but like the OP, i can still ping the switch. i also tried connecting a console cable, but that didn't do anything.. what can i do before i have to reboot?

Re: Loss of telnet and http and SNMP

Did you find a solution to your issue? I'm having the same problem on both my 2800's and my 3800's.
