ISL betwen two 5100B v6.3.1a

Hello all,

I  had a switch 5100B (switch1) configured with zoning and I was requested to create 4 ISL's to connect another 5100B ( switch2) and create a fabric. The new 5100 switch2 does not have zoning configuration. I connected 4 ISL's betwen the switches and I can not see all the fabric ports from neither of the switches, each switch only shows his own ports.

Any idea on why I am not able to see all the fabric ports from neither of the switches??

Thank you

Re: ISL betwen two 5100B v6.3.1a

Hi,

on the commandline there is no command to see all fabricports like the switchshow command does.

You can check only with nscamshow the nameserver database off all remote switches. With nsshow you will see only the local attached devices.

I hope this helps. If you are happy with this answer rate the answer.
