Hundreds of millions of enc_out errors per hour

[ Edited ]

Greetings,

Below is a porterrshow of a Brocade 300 switch that appears to be struggling to communicate on it's upstream ISL. We're getting latency bottleneck errors as well as link resets/credit loss events in the log. I've replaced the cable and SFP on this side of the switch and am wondering if there's something obvious I'm missing. I'm about to head over and replace the SFP and the cable on the datacenter side.

You're looking at about 2 hours of porterrshow data - I cleared the logs just a couple hours ago. Port 8 is the ISL with the 300 million enc out errors.

Ideas?

Re: Hundreds of millions of enc_out errors per hour

Michael,

1) replace the SFP on both side , and if is possible the cable

2) if the error persist, open a call with you Supplier
