Firmwaredownload failed Out of disk space....

Hello

I'm trying to upgrade an 4024 blade switch to 6.2.2.f, but if fails because there's not enough space on the secondary partition

Filesystem           1k-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on

/dev/root               121008     93144     21620  81% /

/dev/hda1               120992     99080     15668  86% /mnt

Free space=12931072, fabos-libs package size=11114979, Required space=13212131.

I've run the cleanup script and there are no core or dump files left on the switch.

On my other 4024 switches the upgrade went fine and a df on one of those shows:

Filesystem           1k-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on

/dev/root               122976     94100     22528  81% /

/dev/hda2               122992     94124     22520  81% /mnt

Re: Firmwaredownload failed Out of disk space....

try with command "supportsave -R" if a dump file is available.

Re: Firmwaredownload failed Out of disk space....

Hi,

If you've executed a 'cleanup' and "supportsave -R" and that is not enough, you could try to go to /mnt and check which folders/files are using that extra 5% that you need in order to perform the ugprade. You could try to use command:

du -m |sort -n

to list and sort by size all the directories in /mnt. then you can compare this switch with the rest and you may find some file you could delete (Move out of the switch). On the other hand, a reboot is allways a good option...

Re: Firmwaredownload failed Out of disk space....

Thank you felipon!

After running the command I saw that var/logs was quite big, and in it there was a big txt-file from 15sep 2010

ag_decs.txt

I deleted that and df showed 75% used on mnt and the firmwareupgrade worked
