Failed to commit changes to fabric: not an owner of the transaction

I have a pretty old FC brocade switch, which  will be decommissioned in the next few months. In the meantime I need to add an ESX host to the fabric, but after creating the Alias for the new HBA, zoning in to see the storage and adding to the config i get the following area after clicking SAVE CONFIG

'commit changes: retval=-1'

'trans_abort: not an owner of the transaction'

'Failed to commit changes to the fabric: trans_abort: not an owner of the transaction'

any ideas?

Is you Issue related with SAN Healt Utility ?

If no,

what is the exact Switch Type / Modell , and current Fabric OS.

See this DOC to find the exact Switch Name.

Re: Failed to commit changes to fabric: not an owner of the transaction

It looks that you have try to change the zoning DB from two different sessions.

check if you any open zoning transactions.

use cfgtransshow and cfgtransabort command to find any open zoning transactions and clean them.
