Fabric in Interop Mode

Hi All
Please find our current setup as per below >>

McData DS 24M2 SAN Switches - firmware version is these are 09.08.01 2
McData DS 4400 SAN Switches - same as above
Brocade 4900 Silkworm Switches - firmware version is these are 6.1.0c
IBM Badged Brocade Bladecenter Switches - Same as above
The whole fabric is in a mesh. One fo McData DS 24M2 is the principal switch and all other Brocade Switches are in interop Mode.
I would like to split this fabric into 2 fabrics keeping Brocade 4900 in each fo those fabrics as principal Core Switches and McData switches as Edge Switches.
Could anyone say if there is any potential risk etc? If yes, what are they.
What would be their interop mode settings to achieve this split in proper manner?
Ideally I would like to make aliases for all the hosts first and keep 2 (future) zonesets in Brocade Switches as offline configurations now. After that shutdown all the Hosts and make teh Brocades as Principal and McData as edge switches and make the zonesets active. But while doing this I believe
interop mode needs to be changed on Brocade thereby all the current entries will be lost.
Can anyone please help? All suggesions are welcome.

Do you want to Build TWO Independent Fabric ?

In Interop-Mode are some feature in the Brocade Switch not available. For details see the FOS Release Note.

Re: Fabric in Interop Mode

I take here that the fabric have only One Brocade 4900 , is correct that?

Or will be have both fabric each One Brocade 4900 as Core Switch ?

What is the exact Quantity of all Switches ?

And a quantity of IBM Blade Switch?
