Hi Antonio

i have take thi notice from internal HDS tech tip

Number: 01_052772r18 and there is this notice

Notes:

  1. 7800 – due to a known issue, it is strongly recommended that you only upgrade to 7.2.1d; see Alert BROCAD_081802.

I try to faund the Alert BROCAD_081802 for understan the issue.

[ Edited ]

The Alert where HDS refer BROCAD_081802, show as HDS internal DOC.

about the Note

Notes:

  1. 7800 – due to a known issue, it is strongly recommended that you only upgrade to 7.2.1d

is probable that HDS refer here to some HDS specific features and suggest to upgrade only to mentioned release.

If you have HDS environments, I would suggest to open a TAC with HDS, but I dont think this Note is relevant because FOS v7.2.1d is +/- 2 Years old release.

Re: FOS upgrade on san sw 7800 from 7.2.1d.to 7.3.1c

Not really only HDS specific...

Upgrading to FOS v7.1.2a, v7.1.2b, v7.3.0, v7.3.0a, v7.3.0b, v7.3.0c may cause a switch to go into rolling reboot.

But I agree, that's an old one and it keeps being copied between all further alert versions just for consistency.
