FOS 6.4.3 to 7.0.0c upgrade failed

Checking system settings for firmwaredownload...

The following item(s) need to be addressed before downloading the specified firmware:

Upgrade to 7.0 is not allowed because the threshold configuration changed alarm is set for class env,   area PS on FID 128.

Similar configuration may exist for other classes and areas and on other FIDs. Please use "fwconfigure" to unset the same.

Firmwaredownload failed.

Hi, any previous experience in solving similar issue?

Re: FOS 6.4.3 to 7.0.0c upgrade failed

Problem solved.

For reference. Make sure no fabric watch class areas configured with change changed alarm. (Seems change alert dropped in 7.x)

Re: FOS 6.4.3 to 7.0.0c upgrade failed

Hello SAN101, see this example of an Actionplan/recomments

The following entries in the output of configshow -all will stop any attempt to upgrade to 7.x until

the values are changed to 0:

thresh.cust.ee.PerfRx.changed:2

thresh.cust.fabric.ZC.changed:2

I would recommend performing the following actions in order to change the values from 2 to 0.

1. Execute the configupload -all command on the switch and upload the configuration file to an FTP/SCP server.

2. Open the file via basic text editor such as notepad, locate the noted entries, and replace the value of 2 with 0.

3. Perform a configdownload -all on the switch and download the edited configuration file to the switch.

4. Once complete, verify the values have changed to 0 on the switch with the following commands:

configshow -all | grep PerfRx.changed

configshow -all | grep ZC.changed

The customer should then be able to complete the firmware upgrade successfully.
