FCIP and LSAN zoning requirement

Hi,

I have 2 X 7840s that have 1 FCIP tunnel (VE 24 )between them.

They have edge fabrics  on either side of the tunnel with LSAN zones defined in the edge fabrics for communication across the FCIPWAN.

Now I have some free FC ports on the 7840s. since the 7840s are connected with each other via VE ports they are essentially merged.

If I connect a initiator on one of the 7840 FC ports and a target on the other 7840 switch across the tunnel. Do i need to create LSAN zone for the host to communicate with the taerget or do they just need normal zones.

Is there any issues in doing this. Will this affect mt current setup.

Please help. Thanks

TJ

These devices will need ordinary zones
