Make sure you're using snmp v1 strings when talking to the 4.x switches prior to v4.4. SNMP v2 is not supported.

Re: Error set SNMP Variables on 39x0, 12K

I have 4 new Brocade 4100 Silkworm switches running v4.4.0b, trying to get MRTG to show thruput. It works for all of the other 2109s. I have found out that MRTG is not SNMPv3 compatible, which is how I set up the new switches. I tried just the entries for SNMPv1, but I'm still getting auth failure for snmp traps, which means it's still using v2 or v3. In looking at the wintel logs, indeed, it's still trying to send thru v2 traps. How do I convert to SNMPv1 only???
