Critical fabric size (5) exceeds supported configuration (2). Contact Technical Support.

Hello,

I have a customer who have a Fabric backup with 4 switches and don't have the Full Fabric license on one of these switches and this for a long time and everithyng was working well. We add a fifth switch and now we have a lot of issues with NDMP backups.

Do you think that the fact that we don't have the Full Fabric license on a switch just disable the web tools on this switch or that can lead some problems on the fabric?

Most importantly this is a license violation which is a legal concern.

In some configurations a switch without a full-fabric license would segment out of the main fabric. While this doesn't seem to be the case yet, you've stepped into the mine field. Be warned.

Depending on your setup you might want to turn some switches into Access Gateway mode to reduce the number of domains in your fabric.

Hope this helps,

Linar
