Brocade FC Switches support direct or back-end LDAP authentication?

Hi Friends, 

 

We are planning to integrate our brocade switches with LDAP. Our LDAP implementation team is asking whether Brocade FC swithces support direct or back-end LDAP authentication?

Hello Debasish,

 

Brocade support local, Radius, tacacs+ and Ldap (both OpenLdap or MS Active directory) authentication flavours.

Direct, it does a LDAP request when someone logs in. It does not paticipate in AD configuration or AD caching. It's a very plain PAM based LDAP authentication method.
