Re: Brocade 8000 ASIC leyout - quick question

The b8000 has multiple ASIC's

  • A Condor2 for FC ports (8)
  • Three Anvils (each providing 8*10Gbe user port connections)
  • Three Zeus FGPA's which provide en-/decapsulations of frames)

CEE ports are grouped as

0-3 4-7  > Anvil1

8-11 12-15 > Anvil2

16-19 20-24 > Anvil3

Fc port are all grouped to the 1 Condor2

Once we identify the ASIC to port mapping, is there a best practive to distribute / deploy the ports?

Re: Brocade 8000 ASIC leyout - quick question

There is one that states you should connect CEE ports as follows

0-4-8-12-16-20

1-5-9-13-17-21

2-6-10-14-18-22

3-7-11-15-19-23
