I am setting up the FCIP configuration using Brocade 7840. Are there any additional settings that I need to change apart from the one that listed in 7840 FCIP Configuration guide?
Following are the steps that I have followed (IP addresses removed) but the ge2 and ge3 ports are showing offline. Verified with the network team and they said everything is correct from their end. including VLAN, Port speed, port location etc.
extncfg --app-mode fcip
extncfg --ve-mode 10VE
portcfgpersistentdisable ge2 -3
portcfg ipif ge2.dp0 create x.x.x.x netmask x.x.x.x vlan x mtu 1500
portcfg ipif ge3.dp0 create x.x.x.x netmask x.x.x.x vlan x mtu 1500
portcfg iproute ge2.dp0 create x.x.x.x netmask x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
portcfg iproute ge3.dp0 create x.x.x.x netmask x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
portshow ipif all

It appeared to be SFP issues. Customer said that he replaced the SFPs and then ports came online. I saw only 2 out of 8 SFPs in 4 7840 switches showing as incompatible though.
The license was indeed necessary to configure 10g tunnel.
Thanks for the reply.
