Brocade 7800 FOS version with low FCIP committed rate?

Hi,

If there is a slow WAN bandwidth place( i.e. 3Mbps), should I downgrade the FOS to less than v6.4, or I can use the latest FOS and set the commited rate as the minimum value 10Mbps?

Re: Brocade 7800 FOS version with low FCIP committed rate?

Hi jeff.lai,

I was surprised to learn about that restriction. Running with 10 Mbps commit rate on a 3 Mbps link won't be any good as it will cause massive frame drops making FCIP tunnel unstable.

I would say at this point it makes sense to stay at 6.3.2d and set commit rates properly.

Hope this helps,
