we have two brocade 5100 running FOS 641b on primary site and fabric is few years in full production.
We acquired two new 5100 for secondary DC which will be connected to primary DC over 4 dark fiber links. We should get 8Gbs links with installed cables and LW SFP.
We plan to use ISL trunking (we have 4 license ready, one for every switch) to connect B1-DC1 to B1-DC2 and B2-DC1 to B2-DC2.
My questions are:
1. regarding SAN "merge" can we on new switches:
set different domain ids
switch config clear
switch enable with just one ISL connected
check if fabric is propagated?
2. As distance is 5km do we have to set any settings on ISL ports (PortCfgLongDistance, portCfgFillword command to set ARB ...)?
3. Can other port (from same port group) be added to existing ISL to form trunk non disruptive?
if there is any settings on port can someone explain right procedure with steps?

since the switch are brand new, is not necessary to do "config clear" is my opinion, and i never do that.
this are the command i used - in most case - by trunking config.
portcfgpersistentdisable -->> Port_Number
portcfgspeed --> fix 8G
portcfgeport --> Set Port Mode 2 E-Port only
portcfglongdistance LE Set VC init 1
portcfgqos --> Set on Off
portcfgnpivport --> Set on Off.
Trunking ( usually ) is by default enable, so is no action required
Set configured Port "portcfgpersistentenable"

if you planned to create a Trunk, then start the config initially with the Trunking.
if you want later to build ISL-Trunking, this is for SHORT Time ( a couple of Seconds ) Disruptive.
