I was asked to upgrade the brocade 300 switches from its current version 6.1.0c to the latest version. i have downloaded FOS v6.2.0c (windows Version) and unzipped the files.(Would like to upgrade these switches to 7.0.01 FOS)
I have also setup scp server to download the files to switch, when i start downloading files it say the version is not supported.
Could anyone correct if this is not the right procedure to upgrade?
Thanks in advance

From release notes of 7.0.1: "Non-disruptive upgrade to FOS v7.0.1 on 8G switches is allowed from FOSv6.4.1a or later. "
You need to upgrade the switch to 6.4.x before you can upgrade to 7.0.x.
To get to 6.4.x you need to be on 6.3.x.
To get to 6.3.x you need to be on 6.2.x.
Check out the release notes, they have details.

With that being said, you can upgrade from 6.3.x to 7.0x directly (disruptively).
From the FabOS 7.0 release notes :
Disruptive upgrades to Fabric OS 7.0 are allowed and supported from FOS 6.3 (up to a two-level migration) using the optional "-s" parameter with the firmwaredownload command.
