Brocade 300 Serial Connection

Hi there,

I try to connect to a brocade 300 via COM Port , but it does not work at all.

I need this because of pw recovery of "root"

Serial Settings are 9600,8,N,1 , flow control -> none as mentioned in the manuals.

For terminal client i tried with putty and hyper terminal i also tried both local serial port with an older laptop and usb to serial converter.

I also tried rebooting the switch , cold boot and so on

But i do net get any connection ....!!

Does anyone know how what the problem could be?? this is really wierd...

Thanks in advance

daniel

Daniel,

-->> Yes sure , im using the standard brocade rs232 cable...

you need the cable Kit with Part Number 50-0000176-01 and Connector 50-0000177-01

should you have the right cable Kit, most probable COM configuration is not set properly.
