Brocade 300 SAN Switch : Backup Config File

Hi,

I'm not able to download the config file from my san switch through USB port. Non of the USB stick i had is working. Just wonder do you need certain USB stick to work on the switch? SCP and FTP is not working on my side here. Any other best way to copy the config file out? Thank

Rgds

Re: Brocade 300 SAN Switch : Backup Config File

You need a Brocade branded USB stick. Other will not be excepted by the system.

If you have the ability to SSH/Telnet to your switch, you could capture the configuration with the configshow -all command.

Should you want to schedule this process, you can use save simply your san with the -e switch to execute above command and save to a file.

BNA (or its predecessor DCFM) can save configs as well.

If ftp/scp is blocked on your network, what if you direct-connect the laptop to the switch (set ips, etc) and install an ftp or scp server on the laptop?
