(Brocade 200E and Brocade silk worm 3200 series)'s console cable?

Hello friends,

 

I need to connect using console cable Brocade 200E and silk worm 3200 series...

 

But I didn't know why it was not reacted to the PC...

 

I had checked out many of devices such as CISCO, JUNIPER...

 

However... I really don't know why BROCADE devices does not checked out ..

 

I used DB9 connector and rj45 port...

 

Anyone know how this procedure?

hi ,

 

Use PUTTY to connect via serial to switches

 

Configuration:

 

Session: Serial

 

Session > Connection > Serial

 

Speed: 9600

Data bits: 9

Stop bits: 1

Parity: None

Flow control: None

However, I still didn't connect ...

 

Anyway, I configured following your teaching

 

I figured out that my computer does not "data bit 9"

It has 4,5,6,7,8....

 

So I really wonder that data bit "9" must configure as an essential particular?

what kind of cable are you use?

The SW Brocade model 200E use conector RS232 straight.

Diagram Pins below:

 

SW Broacade  |  PC or Notebook USB adapter

                 A pin |  B pin

                     1-----1

                     2-----2

                     3-----3

                     4-----4

                     5-----5

                     6-----6

                     7-----7

                     8-----8

                     9-----9

It can be use with Adapter DB9 to USB , It´s work!
