Brocade 12000 & 48000 firmware upgrade from 6.4.1a2 to 6.4.2a

We are planning to upgrade our SAN switches B12000 from 5.0.3b to 5.0.5f  & 48000 from 6.4.1a2 to 6.4.2a.

Is this upgrade disruptive / will the host IO interrupted during the upgrade ?

Is there any step by step procedure to do the firmware upgrade through CLI ?

Re: Brocade 12000 & 48000 firmware upgrade from 6.4.1a2 to 6.4.2a

I just upgraded a couple of 48000 to 6.4.3d from 6.2.0g. The upgrade is non disruptive as long as HA is in sync. I think, as best practice you should upload the config and then perform the upgrade. There is not much to it. You just perform the regular firmwaredownload and let it run until the firmware has been migrated to the primary/2ndry partitions.

Hi,

Firmware upgrades on B12000 are non-disruptive.
