Access Gateway - Domain overlap

I have configured brocade chassis switch in access gatway mode and connected to DCX fabric. the hosts in the chassis are able to log into fabric.

the ports in DCX have autonegotiated to E port (earlier were G-locked). and reporting domain overlap status.  (id    4G   Online      FC  E-Port  segmented,(domain overlap)).

Do I need to set domain ID in the access gateway switch even if it is not in native mode? (currently domain ID of access gateway and DCX is same.)

Do I need to change port config on DCX to set them to F specificaly?

Re: Access Gateway - Domain overlap

Hi globetrader,

you question is a bit confused, can please explain a bit more ?

if the switch is set as AG, you cannot set any Domain ID.

can you please post switchshow poutput from AG Switch, and info about FOS Release both, DCX and AG Switch ?

is probable you have any FOS compatibility issue.

Re: Access Gateway - Domain overlap

Thanks TechHelp24 Apparently the issue was not due to access gateway configuration. The domain overlap error was due to a failed merge.
